2013 May onwards Tolis works at KAESER KOMPRESSOREN SE, Coburg, Germany…

…and is contributing to company growth, through his participation in the redesign of business models and through his impact in keeping Teams focused and aligned  during implementation. He designs, steers and facilitates business transformation journeys at Subsidiaries (until now in Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Israel, Norway, South Africa, Brazil, Portugal and France), facilitates cross functional Workshops and catalyses networking for effective cooperation between Senior Managers (until now, in the HQs at Coburg, in Europe and Latin America).

Tolis was based and professionally active in Athens, Greece .

EXECUTIVE COACHING: Tolis is coaching individuals, who want to develop themselves professionally and socially (i.e. improve their professional and social behaviour, advance their career and live a balanced life).

  • IUKB MBA offered by New York College in Athens from 2004 – 2006 (5 day course) and
  • OTEACADEMY 2006 – 2010 (2 day course).

INTERIM MANAGEMENT / PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

Tolis has undertaken part time short and medium term contract work in order to

  • fill in the gap of an Executive within an enterprise,
  • supplement the Owner/CEO/Top Executive at a special project, or
  • actively support a newly appointed Manager on-the-job in order to quickly and securely fulfill the new role’s requirements.

 1987 – 2004 

Indicative highlights of “Tolis style and footprint in business” are presented below:

  • CHANGE CATALYST –> ability to work with experienced and expert people and lead them to adopt new ways and methods of doing business.
    • In 1990, just two years after recruiting him, Colgate Palmolive assigned him to set up a modern Trade Marketing / Key Account function and Department using Category Management concept and state of the art software tools. The Department was staffed with senior long serving managers who needed time to adapt and accept the concept. Later on, Tolis dealt and still deals with similar assignments in J&J, BENCKISER, KODAK and KAESER– i.e. had to set up “modern” functions and implement new concepts while teamed up with experienced and traditional mind-set colleagues.
  • TRANSFORMING BUSINESS MODELS _ –> ability to update and turn around status quo situations
    • Tolis within 3 years transformed the mind-set and operating processes of the BENCKISER Sales Department to an account management oriented Team in such a way that when he left the company the German Sales Vice President decided that the Department could operate without a Director for one full year until a chosen successor from Finance Department was able to join.
    • In his one year KODAK tenure as Business Unit Manager Consumer Products, he got approval and implemented strategic changes in the traditional commercial practices leading to turnover and gross margin growth (e.g. new cooperation policy with the photography market Distributors, cooperation with ELGEKA as distributor in Supper Markets and alliance with GERMANOS stores for in-store digital printing)
    • Since 2013 he has been contributing in strengthening the KAESER International / Key Account Management model, in turning around the performance in Ireland and Sweden and in catalyzing new cooperation ways between HQs and General Managers in Europe and Latin America.
  • SETTING UP BUSINESS MODELS –> ability to identify, understand, conceptualize, start from scratch and implement modern trends in praxis.
    • In 1990 he set up and financed through ‘venture’ capital an Industrial Design Company, the first of its kind in Greece. In 1998 he ventured with IBM and SINGULAR in setting up a CRM Solutions Business Unit, at a time when CRM was still unknown. In 2010 he co-created EUROSOL Greece, a solar energy solutions provider.
    • He ventured and set up a Coaching practice (2004) and was one of the very first Greek certified business coaches by the International Coach Federation (2006)
    • He created from scratch his current role in KAESER in 2013 and relocated to Germany as the Business & People Developer offering strategic advisory and business coaching to Subsidiaries and to the HQ Departments.
  • GOAL ORIENTED MARATHONER (in life and running) –> ability to absorb resistance and adversities, recover fast and move on.
    • In all his tenures above the journey has been tough. Tolis is overcoming it with transparency in his thinking and acting, authenticity to his purpose, fairness and respect to his team mates.
    • The evidences collected through the years are proving that colleagues, from all above ventures, have acknowledged Tolis integrity, indifferent if they agreed with decisions and choices at the beginning of the journey.
